Privacy Policy
Nyrion ("we", "us") provides an AI-assisted coding interview practice platform at nyrion.ai. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We try to keep it short and honest. If anything here is unclear, email support@nyrion.ai.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and, if you sign up with email and password, a securely hashed copy of your password. We never store passwords in cleartext.
- Third-party sign-in identifiers. If you choose to sign in with a third-party identity provider (such as Google), we receive your email address and the provider's stable user identifier. We do not receive your password.
- Practice activity. The problems you start, the code you write in the editor, your test results, and your conversations with the AI assistant. This data is tied to your account.
- Operational data. Server-side logs of requests for debugging and abuse prevention. These logs may include IP addresses and are retained for a short window before rotation.
How we use it
- To run the service — render the catalog, save your progress, execute your code, and route messages to the AI assistant on your behalf.
- To send transactional emails — verification, password reset, account-related notifications.
- To prevent abuse and diagnose issues.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not share your practice activity with anyone outside the categories of providers described below.
Third-party providers
Running Nyrion requires a small set of providers acting on our behalf. Each receives only the data needed for their part of the job.
- Identity providers. If you choose to sign in with a third-party account, that provider authenticates you and returns your email and a stable user identifier.
- Transactional email provider. Delivers the emails we send (verification, password reset, account notices). Receives the recipient address and message body.
- Code execution provider. Runs the code you submit in a sandboxed environment. Receives the code and the corresponding test files for the duration of the run.
- AI service providers. Power the AI assistant. Receive the messages you send to the assistant and the relevant problem context. We do not send your account email or other identifying account data with these requests. The set currently includes leading AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Cloud infrastructure provider. Hosts the application; data passes through their systems in the normal course of operation.
Where your data lives
Your account and practice data is stored in a database on our infrastructure. We back it up to off-site storage on a continuous basis so we can recover from machine failures. Backups are retained for a rolling window of approximately 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We do not set tracking cookies and we do not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts.
Your rights
- Access. Email us at support@nyrion.ai and we'll send you everything we have on your account.
- Deletion. Email the same address and we'll delete your account and associated practice activity within 30 days. Backups containing your data age out within the rolling window described above.
- Correction. You can update your email address by contacting support.
Children
Nyrion is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we'll remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects your data, we will email registered users and update the "Last updated" date above before the changes take effect.
